Cognitive warfare: Foreword to the thematic issues

This special issue of this journal brings together a set of texts written by researchers from two French groups involved, first, in a public polemologic research programme, GECKO, and second, in a wider network devoted to conflictual cognitive action, CIVIL. The texts are published under the responsibility of their authors and are intended to provide a basis for thematic reflection stemming from some initial French-language work on the subject of ’cognitive warfare’.

Ce numéro spécial de la revue rassemble un ensemble de textes composés par les chercheurs de deux collectifs français impliqués d’une part, dans un programme de recherche polémologique GECKO (Laboratoire de conception pour la guerre cognitive) et d’autre part dans un réseau consacré à l’action cognitive conflictuelle, CIVIL. Les textes sont publiés sous la responsabilité de leurs auteurs et visent à donner une base de réflexion thématique à la poursuite de certains travaux initiaux francophones sur le sujet de la « guerre cognitive ».
