In this article, we study the effects of new technologies on the practices of a start-up using sharing platforms. The literature on the sharing economy allows us to consider these new technologies as a means of transforming the practices of the sharing ecosystem. The information is collected through a semi-directive interview with head of the start-up Info Trafic Algérie (ITA). The data were the subject of thematic content analysis. We were able to conclude that new technologies play a decisive role in the evolution of the start-up’s practices, but nevertheless, are not in themselves a factor of sustainability. The existence of a favourable ecosystem is the key to the long-term growth of the start-up.
