TY - Type of reference TI - Is the practice of art/science a specific type of research-creation? AU - Louis-Claude Paquin AB - This conclusion/summary aims to explore the relationships between art/science practice and research-creation based on comments gathered from reading the written contributions and listening to the audio recordings of the round tables and presentations during the study day. First, in order to identify the specific characteristics of art/science practice, the comments are organized into aggregates that sometimes converge and sometimes diverge according to a five-faceted model: 1) Creative and research activities; 2) corporeality; 3) materiality; 4) cultural, social and political context; 5) commitment. Second, the relationships between art/science practice and research-creation are explored in terms of the relationships between research and creation, the knowledge generated and the reflexivity made available to the public in conjunction with artefacts or events and published “scientific” texts. Throughout the text, comments supported by references have been inserted to reinforce and clarify certain arrangements and open up different perspectives.
